Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Florence, KY is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician with willingness to train. The role supports ophthalmologists with preliminary testing, patient communication, and insurance verification while maintaining EMR records.

Travel to Crestwood, KY locations may be required; mileage reimbursement is provided. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, potential ophthalmic experience, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Experience as Ophthalmic/Optometric technician preferred.
• Scribing experience preferred.
• Background check favorable.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor in preliminary testing.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Communicate with patients, doctors and managers.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email and in person.
• Record patient information and EMR data accurately.
• Prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures.
• Open and close exam rooms; maintain rooms and supplies.
