Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking a Front Office Specialist to be the first point of contact and support world-class Total Patient Experience. You will handle check-in/out, greet patients, and maintain smooth office operations in a clinical setting.

The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to HIPAA, and the ability to manage phones, insurance checks, and payments. Office experience and eligibility to work in the United States are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient facing role.
• Medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic exposure preferred.
• Must pass background check.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones (external and internal); ensure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Practice urgency at all times with consideration to the patient’s time and doctor’s schedule.
• Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and build accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures.
• Manage patient flow in the office and communicate to maximize efficiency and service.
• Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA.
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager.
