Job summary

ZEISS Meditec is seeking a Field Support Engineer II to travel nationwide, install, repair, and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment across territories. You will manage field service reports, inventory, and customer interactions from various locations with a focus on quality and professionalism.

The role requires continuous travel, extensive driving/flying, and the ability to work independently across time zones. A relevant technical degree and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service with demonstrated travel experience.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mobile Service Delivery: Diagnose and repair designated products across service territories with travel.
• Dynamic Territory Management: Schedule and verify customer visits across extensive regions.
• Remote Documentation: Complete field service reports from customer locations.
• Travel Expense Management: Submit weekly expense reports per policy.
• Mobile Inventory Management: Maintain spare parts inventory while traveling.
• Territory Growth Through Travel: Promote and retain service agreements via visits.
• Professional Customer Interface: Interact with customers professionally across regions.
• Mobile Training Delivery: Instruct customers on operation and maintenance at various locations.
