Job summary

A leading ophthalmology practice in Bryan, Texas is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to ensure accurate documentation, coding, and patient flow during examinations. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, preferably with a bachelor's degree, along with at least 6 months of medical office experience. Responsibilities include assisting the physician, maintaining communication with patients, and ensuring accurate charting. The position offers a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off after 60 days.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in a medical office, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Scribe certification (certified ophthalmic assistant) is preferred.
• Must be able to walk and stand for the entire work shift.

Responsibilities

• Summarizes and documents the physician's verbalizations during exams.
• Accurate ICD10 and CPT coding in patient charts.
• Maintains patient flow and assists during the exam as needed.
