Job summary

Retina Consultants of Texas is looking for a Dedicated Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing continuity of patient care, managing medical records, and assisting in clinical duties. Candidates must exhibit strong organizational skills, have at least one year of experience as an Ophthalmic Scribe, and be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $20.00+ per hour, with opportunities for overtime and is based in Bellaire, Texas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an Ophthalmic Scribe.
• Completion of medical terminology and/or ophthalmic terminology courses.
• Scribe certification preferred, should obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide patients to examination rooms
• Document all history and testing information accurately
• Summarize all exam details from physician into patients electronic chart

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficient in scribing for ophthalmology services

Basic to advanced computer skills

Education

College degree preferred
