Grand Rapids Ophthalmology in Walker, Michigan, seeks an experienced Ophthalmic Clinic Manager to oversee clinical staff and daily operations under the Clinic Director. You will drive efficient patient flow and ensure high-quality care in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

The role requires 5+ years leading ophthalmology teams, EMR experience, PACS familiarity, and strict HIPAA/OSHA compliance. COA/COT certification is preferred; some Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years leading a clinical ophthalmology team.
• Minimum 5 years EMR experience and medical documentation.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred.
• Background check clearance and right to work in the United States.
• Experience with PACS or similar systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
• Oversee office visits and in-office surgical procedures.
• Ensure accurate documentation in EMR and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate staff training and performance evaluations.
• Manage authorizations, referrals, and scheduling.
• Maintain cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Support Clinic Director and ensure policy adherence.
• Some Saturdays may be required.
