Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) partners with leading ophthalmology practices nationwide, delivering advanced eye care through integrated management, technology and patient-centered service. The Team Lead oversees clinical technician staff and ensures efficient, high-quality patient testing and coordination with providers.

You will supervise operations, support scheduling, and guide staff through EHR documentation, billing, and prescription workflows while fostering a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• COA/COT preferred; supervision experience in clinical operations.
• Strong communication and team leadership capabilities.
• Ophthalmic care knowledge and EHR proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Empathetic, patient-centered approach to staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Scribes for the provider by entering dictated information into the EHR.
• Oversee patient care flow and scheduling to ensure efficiency.
• Perform pretests (Tonometry, extra-ocular muscle evaluation, confrontational visual fields, refractions, lensometry) with aseptic technique.
• Ensure visits flow within the allotted time and provider efficiency.
• Handle electronic billing within the EHR and ensure accurate documentation.
• Generate medication prescriptions through Erx.
• Monitor scheduling and clinic flow; train and coach staff as needed.
• Maintain documentation per provider findings and assessment.
• Uphold professional standards and promote teamwork and patient service.
