Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is seeking a Patient Access Representative in Sandy Springs, GA to deliver high-quality service to patients and referring offices. You will be the first point of contact, assisting with inquiries, appointments, medical information, and insurance details across ophthalmology subspecialties.

This hybrid role requires ophthalmology or optometry experience, HIPAA awareness, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior medical experience is required.
• Ophthalmology or Optometry experience required.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or CMA preferred.
• Triage experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Previous call center experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients and address inquiries, concerns, and requests courteously.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for ophthalmology subspecialties.
• Verify patient information and obtain necessary medical information for medical advisories.
• Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about healthcare services, procedures, and insurance coverage.
• Handle patient complaints professionally and resolve issues to satisfaction.
• Collaborate with referring doctor offices and internal departments to coordinate care.
• Maintain cohesive physician schedules for affiliated practices and locations.
• Document call interactions accurately in call center software.
