Advocate Health's Greensboro Eye Center is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to perform preliminary screenings, patient histories, and diagnostic testing under physician supervision. The role requires CPR certification, a high school diploma or GED, and about one year of related experience.

Competenze

High School diploma or GED equivalent.
CPR certification required.
One year work experience, preferably in an eye-related field.
Experience in ophthalmology preferred.

Mansioni

Performs preliminary screenings as ordered by physician, including histories, visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry, pupil exam, and visual field testing.
Maintains ophthalmic exam lanes/equipment and cleans instruments per guidelines.
Ensures exam room/lane is stocked appropriately.
Interacts with patients, families, coworkers and physicians professionally while protecting patient confidentiality.
Maintains required competencies and CPR certification; follows certification guidelines.
Under physician direction, may perform prescription refills following standard guidelines.
Demonstrates dedication to patient service and delivers quality care.
Performs other duties incidental to the role as needed.
