Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Ophthalmology team member for Wake Forest Health Network's High Point Oak Hollow location. The role supports ophthalmic screening, equipment maintenance, and patient care in a busy clinic.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and about one year of eye-care experience. The position is full-time with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits, located in High Point, NC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• One year work experience, preferably in an eye-related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary screenings as ordered by physician including history, visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry, pupil exam, ocular medication administration, and visual field testing.
• Maintain ophthalmic exam lanes/equipment and clean equipment per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Interact with patients, families, coworkers and physicians in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain CPR certification and participate in ongoing professional development per JCAHPO guidelines.
• Under physician direction, perform prescription refills following standard guidelines.
