Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant to support ophthalmologists in delivering eye care services to patients. You will assist with specialized eye exam testing and help streamline patient flow throughout the clinic.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel), and excellent customer service in a medical setting. Prior experience is preferred; training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • One-year experience in a customer facing position preferred.
  • Medical-related experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform specialized eye exam testing while streamlining patient flow.
  • Other diagnostic testing such as: Visual Field, OCT, Corneal topography, etc.
  • Providing phone support with request for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.
  • Educate patients regarding administration of medications and pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by physician.
  • Assists with opening and closing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

They assist with both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of the practice.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAbility to perform specialized eye exam testing while streamlining patient flow.Other diagnostic testing such as: Visual Field, OCT, Corneal topography, etc...Providing phone support with request for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.Educate patients regarding administration of medications and pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by physician.Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA guidelines, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.Assists with opening and closing duties.Other duties as assigned.Experience RequirementsOne-year experience in a customer facing position preferredMedical related experience preferredProficient in MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelProficient in use of internetEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
