Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist ophthalmologists in diagnosing and treating eye conditions. The role focuses on specialized eye exam testing and efficient patient flow across Tacoma, Federal Way, and Auburn locations.

You will perform tests such as visual fields, OCT, and corneal topography, support inventory, and handle prescription refills by phone as authorized. HIPAA privacy must be strictly observed.

Qualifications

• One year experience as ophthalmic technician required.
• One year experience in a customer facing position preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• COA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized eye exam testing while streamlining patient flow.
• Assist with other diagnostic testing including Visual fields, OCT, Corneal Topography, Venipuncture, etc.
• May assist with inventory of ophthalmic supplies, including pharmaceuticals and instruments.
• Provide phone support with request for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.

Education
