Our Mission: Building the nation’s preeminent eye care services company by partnering with world class physicians to drive superior clinical and surgical outcomes, while optimizing the patient experience.Position SummaryAn Ophthalmic Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting ophthalmologists in providing eye care services to patients. They assist with both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of the practice.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAbility to perform specialized eye exam testing while streamlining patient flow.Other diagnostic testing such as: Visual Field, OCT, Corneal topography, etc...Providing phone support with request for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.Educate patients regarding administration of medications and pre- and post-operative instructions as directed by physician.Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA guidelines, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.Assists with opening and closing duties.Other duties as assigned.Experience RequirementsOne-year experience in a patient care and/or customer facing position preferredMedical related experience preferredProficient in MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelProficient in use of internetEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
