Job summary

Carpenter Co. is hiring an Operator A for Bedding in Temple, TX, 1st shift starting at 7:00 am with overtime as needed to complete daily work. You will operate advanced machinery, perform quality checks, and document daily production data.

Carpenter Co has an immediate opening for an Operator A - Bedding - Temple, TX - 1st Shift Start time 7:00 am with overtime as needed to complete the work for the day.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Operator A, you will be responsible for operating sophisticated, computerized machinery and making manual adjustments based on product specifications. The position also conducts quality checks on material, verifies proper equipment operation, and reports any maintenance issues to supervisors. They will follow the cutting schedule efficiently to minimize waste, reduce downtime, and record data into the system.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED. On the-job training is provided, though prior machine experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

Ability to read a tape measure, use a computer for daily operations, and demonstrate strong basic math skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift and adjust heavy foam pieces weighing 35 to 50lbs. in a manufacturing environment with temperature fluctuations.

Availability

Must be able to work flexible hour, including overtime and weekends.

Communication

Ability to read, write, and follow written verbal instructions in English.
