Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an Operator B - Rolls Manufacturing in Temple, TX, on 1st shift starting at 10:00 am with overtime as needed to meet daily production needs.

The role is responsible for safe and efficient transport of unfinished and finished product, operating a forklift, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting shift personnel to meet schedules. Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 35–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport unfinished/finished product or materials to designated locations for manufacturing, storage or shipping.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently in a congested area with other equipment and personnel.
• Coordinate daily with Quality Control and Department Managers to meet production goals.

Carpenter Co has an immediate opening for an Operator B - Rolls Manufacturing - Temple, TX - 1st Shift Start time 10:00 am with overtime as needed to complete the work for the day.

This position is responsible for the efficient and safe transporting of unfinished and/or finished product or material for internal or external customers to specific locations for manufacturing, storing, or unloading to achieve the necessary results to meet a production schedule and/or shipping schedule. Also keeping all areas clean and operators of machines, stocked and ready.

Also in this position the employee may be responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment that is used to manufacturer components and/or finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedule.

The position works in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes and loud noise. Major challenges include the ability to produce product based on internal and external customer demands and specification and operating a forklift in congested confined area where other forklifts are operating and other employees are working and walking.

This position would require daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager, and department personnel to make sure that the needs of all internal and external customers through scheduled operations.

Able to lift and or shift between 35 to 50 lbs

Skills/ Requirements

Other responsibilities include:

• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Recharge forklift batteries or propane tanks, as instructed.
• Understanding of the Carpenter Company Safe Stacking Policy and recognition of Prohibited and Restricted area requirements.
• Must be able to drive a forklift in reverse transporting finished and/or unfinished product to a specific location.
• Must operate a forklift in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
