Job summary

Direct Automotive Services, LLC in Irving, TX seeks a Manager to lead our Roadrunner team. The Roadrunner Operations and Transportation Manager will oversee on-site operations, drivers, scheduling, and customer account management, ensuring top-notch service and efficiency.

Day-to-day duties include coordinating pickups and deliveries, managing dispatch, handling invoices and payroll, and maintaining strong relationships with auto auction and dealership customers.

Qualifications

• Dispatch, transportation, or operations management experience preferred.
• Experience in account management and maintaining customer relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage a team.
• Successful background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Minimum 20 years of age.
• Auto auction, rental car, dealership, or similar industry experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign vehicle pickups and deliveries.
• Oversee daily transportation and dispatch operations to ensure efficient workflow.
• Handle customer calls, invoices, driver sign-in sheets, and payroll.
• File accident reports when needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service to our auto auction and dealership customers on a daily basis.
• Manage and inspire a team of employee drivers. Not over-the-road or contract truck drivers.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customer accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for operational needs.
• Address customer concerns, resolve service issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure transportation needs and expectations are met.
• Monitor daily operations, driver performance, and service quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and strengthen customer relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager.
