Job summary

North Star BlueScope Steel is hiring for a general labor/production role in Ohio. You will contribute to turning raw materials into hot-rolled band steel while upholding safety and quality standards.

Expect a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with 3–4 days on, 3–4 days off, and opportunities to advance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll earn a guaranteed minimum of $50,000 in total compensation in your first year and receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to a rotating schedule.
• Must be physically able to work around heavy equipment and in plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards in the plant.
• Operate with attention to PPE and site policies for safety.
• Support continuous improvement and learn a range of tasks and skills.
