Job summary

Crate & Barrel is seeking a Team Leader – Operations in New Jersey to oversee merchandise flow, store operations, and back-of-house standards. You will lead merchandising and stock teams, adjust schedules, and partner with the Assistant Store Leader to ensure a customer-ready salesfloor.

You will mentor staff, maintain margins through safe product handling, and communicate the design vision while delivering operational and visual excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service or retail leadership experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google apps, computer systems, and tablet devices.
• Full-time role with open availability for flexible hours evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead designated team and manage associate workload as determined in partnership with the Assistant Store Leader.
• Coach associates on performance and maintain a strong visible presence in the department/work area.
• Support performance and development for the designated team to encourage professional growth.
• Provide specific and timely feedback about performance to associates and share observations with the Assistant Store Leader.
• Train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, policies and procedures.
• Promote sales as they pertain to, or are driven by, the Leader On Duty (LOD).
• Review business results, execution of plans/strategies, customer feedback and associate performance with the Assistant Store Leader.
• Ensure all customers receive gracious, quick and efficient service.
