Job summary

DSV is seeking an Operations Supervisor II for the LBJ FWY location. The role oversees inbound, outbound, slotting, and customer communications, with responsibility for labor scheduling, space utilization, and ensuring safety and cost objectives.

You will lead staff, hire and train, conduct performance appraisals, and maintain SOP compliance while coordinating with the Operations Manager to meet KPI targets and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3 years' experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Preferred: Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities, plan and assure continuous improvement.
• Ensures the development of systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Plans the daily work schedule by reviewing existing work orders, arrival notices, and instructions from customers. Assigns duties to appropriate warehouse staff.
• Holds regular meetings with warehouse staff to assess the group's overall status and discuss ideas for improvement.
