Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Lexington to oversee frontline staff and ensure safe, efficient package sortation. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, coach and evaluate personnel, and lead safety initiatives to uphold the Safety Above All culture.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on safety compliance and performance improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree.

Responsibilities

• Serves as champion for Safety Above All Culture and supports related initiatives.
• Manages hiring, terminations, coaching, training, recognition and rewards, performance evaluation, discipline, and staff productivity.
• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls day‑to‑day operations.
• Assigns and manages employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages; tracks trailers with linehaul coordination.
• Analyzes operational performance and implements improvements to key metrics.
• Leads daily meetings and communicates updates to small and large audiences; public speaking as needed.
• Develops and administers employee relations strategies and safety programs.
• Investigates and resolves customer service issues; escalates when necessary.
• Trains new employees on duties and FXG policies, including quality assurance and safety.
