Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a frontline Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All culture and manage a staff responsible for safe and efficient package sortation. You will oversee operations and administrative functions, ensuring policy compliance and regulatory adherence.

You will hire, coach, train, and evaluate staff, lead daily meetings, and monitor performance metrics to drive improvements while mentoring junior supervisors and adapting to changing business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification or 2+ years of college toward a degree accepted.
• Six months in a package handler, fast-paced environment, or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as champion for FedEx Safety Above All Culture and related initiatives.
• Hire, coach, train, and evaluate staff; manage performance and discipline.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe, efficient sortation and tracking of packages.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate operational updates to staff.
• Develop and administer safety and employee relations programs.
• Resolve or escalate customer service issues as needed.
• Train new employees on duties and performance expectations.
