Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily waste operations in the Indianapolis area, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires CDL eligibility for supervising drivers.

Responsibilities include scheduling, evaluating routes, monitoring performance, and coordinating with management. Fluency in Spanish is a plus; strong Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Operations Supervisor in waste management, manufacturing or trucking/transportation.
• Must have a CDL or be willing to obtain one if supervising drivers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations within the assigned geographic area, supervising drivers and/or laborers to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations.
• Lead safety training, safety planning, incident reporting and continuous safety improvements.
• Schedule shifts, plan for call-ins/no-shows, and report department metrics and performance to upper management.
• Evaluate facility or route optimization and provide coverage at all times.
• Perform regular assessments of facilities, routes, and customer issues and respond to problems as needed.
