Job summary

LRS is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily waste/transport operations in the Indianapolis area. You will directly supervise drivers and laborers, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant operations and real-time issue resolution.

The role requires a CDL (or willingness to obtain one), 3+ years of supervisory experience, and strong organizational and communication skills. Fluency in Spanish is a plus; MS Office proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Operations Supervisor, preferably from the waste management, manufacturing or trucking/transportation Industry
• Must have a commercial driver's license (CDL) or willing to obtain one (if supervising drivers)
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations within an assigned geographic area, directly supervising drivers and/or laborers.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Make staffing, scheduling, route or facility optimization decisions.
• Monitor performance and report to management.
• Lead and supervise laborers or drivers, providing feedback.
• Respond to unpredictable situations and ensure smooth operations.
• Set a positive tone and high motivation among staff.
