Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is hiring an Operations Supervisor in Indianapolis to oversee daily waste and recycling operations within the designated area. You will ensure driver and laborer safety, optimize routes, and report performance metrics to upper management.

Responsibilities include scheduling shifts, supervising staff, addressing operational issues, and maintaining high safety and service standards. A CDL is preferred or must be obtained if supervising drivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of Operations Supervisor experience in waste management, manufacturing, or trucking/transportation.
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one when supervising drivers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety training and incident reporting for drivers and laborers.
• Schedule shifts, manage call-ins and attendance, and report metrics.
• Optimize facilities or routes to maintain coverage at all times.
• Evaluate and perform site or route visits and assessments.
• Address customer issues and provide timely solutions.
• Lead and supervise staff, deliver feedback and maintain performance standards.
• Set a positive tone and maintain morale on the team.
