Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the assigned geographic area and supervise drivers and laborers. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance while reporting performance metrics to leadership.

The role requires 3+ years in operations supervision, a CDL if supervising drivers, and strong organizational/communication skills. Proactive problem solving and adaptability are essential in a dynamic waste-management environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Operations Supervisor in waste management, manufacturing or trucking/transportation.
• CDL license required or willingness to obtain if supervising drivers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and efficiency of drivers and laborers.
• Schedule shifts, plan for call-ins/no-shows and report department metrics.
• Optimize facilities or routes and ensure coverage at all times.
• Proactively evaluate and perform facility, area or route visits and assessments.
• Evaluate customer support and problem solving to address issues.
• Lead and supervise laborers or drivers, provide feedback and maintain a positive work environment.
