Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Livonia, MI to support the Safety Above All culture and oversee frontline staff in daily sortation operations. The role includes hiring, coaching, training, performance management, and ensuring adherence to FedEx policies and government regulations while driving safety and efficiency across the unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls day-to-day operations.
• Responsible for assigning and managing employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Leads daily employee and planning meetings to communicate updates and daily goals.
• Train new employees and ensure compliance with FXG policies and training requirements.
• Mentor and develops critical skill sets for new/smaller staff and junior supervisors.
• Adapts quickly to change to meet dynamic business needs; maintains a professional demeanor.
