Job summary

Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc. in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead dispatch and routing for our waste collection operations. You will support the Operations Managers and drive efficient scheduling, driver guidance, and route improvements using our routing software.

Qualifications

• Experience with routing and logistics software.
• Able to create or modify routes across divisions to improve efficiency.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Encore.
• Ability to supervise the dispatch office and lead drivers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to undergo a drug screening.
• Possess or obtain Wisconsin Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• This position generally needs to be available between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm M-F.
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of routes using computer software.
• Analyze and make recommendations on improving route performances.
• Enter accurate and timely dispatches and updates.
• Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction on routes while maintaining service quality.
• Accurately complete required forms, documents, reports, records, etc.
• Assist in directing drivers to perform pick-ups and deliveries in an efficient and effective manner.
• Attend regular training and educational programs related to dispatching and routing software.
• Assist with various yearly projects in Operations.
