Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will train, coach and develop staff, ensure staffing aligns with daily goals, and drive improvements in productivity and service levels.

In this bench leadership role, you’ll learn the business, culture and operations before transitioning into a leadership position with direct accountability for team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a supply chain field.
• 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; conflict resolution and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Interview, train, develop and maintain staffing levels to meet daily goals.
• Identify high-potential team members for future leadership opportunities.
• Foster positive working relationships with team members and union reps where applicable.
• Promote a positive, innovative work environment and diverse, inclusive culture.
• Ensure adherence to policies and establish DC scorecard metrics for productivity.
