Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce and deli).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate direction and resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance and product presentation to Meijer standards.
• Oversees staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Supports succession planning and promotion decisions.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and training requirements.
• Manages P&L, sales targets and shrink controls.
