Job summary

MKC in Kansas seeks an Operations Specialist 2 to assist in agronomy, grain and feed operations. Responsibilities include fertilizer blending and loading, NH3 tank handling, equipment maintenance, grain unloading, and seed cleaning support.

You will work under supervision to ensure safe, efficient operations, promote outstanding customer service, and uphold MKC’s safety culture across facilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to gain operational knowledge of all machinery in elevator and perform maintenance.
• Must obtain and maintain CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Basic computer skills for records and inventory.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adherence to OSHA and MKC safety regulations and safe operation of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload grain from trucks and weigh/test as needed.
• Blend grains to meet customer specifications and avoid quality discounts.
• Inspect stored grain quality and rotate as necessary.
• Load feed into warehouse and into customer vehicles as directed.
• Load fertilizer and NH3 into customer vehicles and deliver.
• Drive commercial vehicles when required and assist seed cleaner operations.
• Support monthly inventory duties and maintain equipment per MKC standards.
