Job summary

MKC in Kentucky is seeking an Operations Specialist to support the agronomy, grain and feed departments at the designated location. You will pick up and deliver fertilizer equipment, load tanks and feed, and manage grain handling, including loading and unloading trucks.

This role requires the ability to work independently, maintain safety standards, perform basic equipment maintenance, and keep facilities clean and well-organized; a 7B fumigation license is preferred; a high school diploma or

Qualifications

• Operate elevator machinery safely and perform basic repairs.
• Develop good working knowledge of fertilizer, seed and grains.
• Possess or obtain 7B Fumigation License.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• React to change productively and handle assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unload grain from trucks and transfer to bins using available storage.
• Weigh/test grain when needed and ensure accurate bin placement.
• Load grain out to trucks or rail cars within legal weight limits.
• Unload feed from trucks and load into warehouse; deliver to customers.
• Load fertilizer into customer vehicles or deliver as directed.
• Follow OSHA and MKC safety regulations; promote a safety culture.
• Maintain facilities and equipment per manufacturer specs and keep areas clean.
• Document maintenance and keep vehicles in operating order.
• Support other locations/departments as needed.
• Maintain a positive image of locations through neat grounds and premises.
