Job summary

MKC is seeking an Operations Specialist 2 to support its agronomy, grain and feed operations. The role includes fertilizer blending/loading, sprayer support equipment prep, NH3 handling, grain handling, and seed-cleaning assistance.

You will operate equipment, manage inventory, and ensure safety standards are followed while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will hold a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, a 7B Fumigation License, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Able to obtain and maintain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
• Able to obtain and maintain 7B Fumigation License.
• Ability to gain operational knowledge of all elevator machinery and perform maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of fertilizer, seed and grains.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and independent work.
• Capable of adapting to changing priorities and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load grain following legal weight limits and optimize bin usage.
• Blend grains to meet customer specifications and minimize quality discounts.
• Inspect grain quality and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Unload and load feed, and assist with loading into customer vehicles as directed.
• Load fertilizer (liquid, dry, NH3) into vehicles and deliver as directed.
• Operate a commercial vehicle when required and assist seed cleaning operations.
• Maintain monthly inventory and assist other locations as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
• Document maintenance and ensure vehicles are in good operating order.
• Provide outstanding customer service to promote repeat business.
