Job summary

MKC in Peabody, Kansas is seeking an Operations Specialist II to support the agronomy, grain and feed departments. Responsibilities include fertilizer blending, loading, sprayer support, NH3 tank transport, and seed cleaning. Grain handling, loading, and maintenance tasks are also involved.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and delivering excellent customer service. CDL with Hazmat/Tanker and a 7B fumigation license are required, along with basic computer skills and physical ability to lift

Qualifications

Ability to gain operational knowledge of all machinery in elevator, operate safely and perform scheduled maintenance.
Able to obtain good working knowledge of fertilizer, seed and grains.
Ability to obtain and maintain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
Ability to obtain and maintain 7B Fumigation License.

Responsibilities

Handle incoming grain by unloading trucks and weigh/test as needed, then transfer to bin efficiently.
Blend grains to meet specifications for shipping and avoid quality discounts.
Maintain grain quality in elevator with regular inspections and rotate as needed.
Unload feed from trucks and load into warehouse; assist with loading into customer vehicles as directed.
Load liquid, dry, and NH3 fertilizer into customer vehicles and deliver as directed.
Drive a commercial vehicle when requested and assist with seed cleaner operations.
Attend monthly inventory duties and observe safety regulations.
