Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage service and distribution orders, using ERP systems to optimize entry and documentation. You will support customers, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure accurate order processing in a shop environment.

You will maintain paperwork, expedite purchases when needed, and uphold safety standards while contributing to team success and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required; or HS diploma with 2 years related experience.
• Experience and knowledge of electrical, automation or mechanical distribution.
• Basic computer proficiency including Word and Excel for documentation, data entry and inspection reporting.
• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a repair shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Update and schedule service and distribution orders through the shop.
• Present and apply ERP knowledge to each entry.
• Handle service and operational account requirements and special situations.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders.
• Utilize ERP system (Infor CSD) knowledge for opportunities.
• Collect and distribute required operations and service documentation from suppliers and customers.
• Expedite purchase orders when needed.
• Enter and maintain customer sales orders in the distribution software.
• Maintain all paperwork from start to finish of the operational process.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

What You'll Do

• Work on service & distribution order updates and scheduling/completion of orders through the shop
• Present and maintain knowledge of all aspects and options available within our ERP and apply it accordingly to each entry
• Extensive knowledge of service & operational account requirements and special situations
• Adjust and follow through on customer inquiries regarding orders
• Present and maintain knowledge of all aspects and options available within the ERP System. ie (Infor CSD distribution software) and able to apply it accordingly to each opportunity
• Collect and distribute required operations & service documentation (i.e., IOM, MSDS information, etc.) from suppliers and customers.
• Expedite purchase orders as / if necessary.
• Enter and maintain customer sales orders into CSD. e distribution software system as necessary.
• Maintain all paperwork from beginning to end of the operational process
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations

What You'll Need

• Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or High School Diploma with two (2) years related experience.
• Experience and knowledge of electrical, automation or mechanical distribution.
• Basic computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, data entry, and inspection reporting.
• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a repair shop environment.
