Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment in a mine or manufacturing environment.

The role offers an hourly wage of $35/hr to $40/hr, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, own basic tools, and hold a valid driver's license. Overtime and rotating shifts may apply, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment; (substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor control systems and components, process controls, instrumentation, and pneumatic equipment).
• Assist with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Basic experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.

Competitive Pay

What You’ll Do

• Assist with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Basic experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical circuits and connected equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.

What You’ll Need

• High School diploma or GED.
• Some construction/laborer experience preferred
• Must have minimum personal tools as described by the department tool list (or be able to obtain them within 90 days of hire date).
• Must have valid state driver's license with clean driving record.
• Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms.
• May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation that includes weekends, holidays, and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as schedule dictates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to noise, grease, and industrial conditions
