Job summary

SIMCO, LLC, the managing and operating contractor for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, seeks an Operations Engineer in Carlsbad, NM. You will support Readiness Assessments, startup planning, and coordination across teams, ensuring TSR compliance and DOE order alignment.

Ideal candidates bring operations/startup experience, DOT/DOE knowledge, and the ability to obtain a DOE badge for access to the WIPP site. Relocation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience or equivalent
• Associate’s degree with six years of experience or equivalent
• High School Diploma with ten years of experience or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist Readiness Assessments, CRA, and CORR teams.
• Coordinate plant readiness for startup actions.
• Represent the group in meetings with adequate plant knowledge and TSR awareness.
