Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Process Improvement Consultant to support the OPEX team in optimizing operational processes at a distribution center. You will act as a local expert in Lean, TQM, and Agile practices, leveraging data and change management to deliver measurable productivity gains and safety improvements.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, training of site personnel, and occasional travel to regional centers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or operations management preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Kaizen Leader certification highly preferred.
4+ years in process improvement, industrial engineering, or related fields.
Experience supporting multiple processes within a large-scale distribution center.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities

Execute and support network-wide process improvement strategies across an assigned portfolio of distribution centers.
Serve as the local SME for Lean, TQM, Agile Manufacturing and Scrum with onsite support.
Analyze data, workflows, and metrics to identify opportunities in receiving, picking, packing, shipping and QIC.
Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis workshops.
Develop and implement action plans to close gaps and bottlenecks within the facility.
Support standardization of best practices and drive consistent process execution.
Monitor KPIs and report trends to site leadership; train staff on CI tools.
