Job summary

Cardinal Health in a high-volume distribution center seeks an Operations Manager to lead daily operations, including warehousing and fulfillment, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant execution.

You will supervise hourly staff and cross-functional teams, build staffing plans, monitor KPIs, and drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve cost, service and quality. Strong leadership and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; preferred.
• Six+ years in operations, distribution, logistics, or related environment.
• Experience leading, supervising or managing employees in fast-paced settings.
• Ability to use metrics and dashboards to drive decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• MS Office proficiency and ability to learn WMS/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly associates, supervisors and teams to meet safety, quality, service, productivity, and engagement goals.
• Promote safety-first culture through training and standards compliance.
• Manage daily execution: workflow prioritization, inventory accuracy, quality, productivity, and delivery expectations.
• Build staffing plans based on forecasted volume and priorities.
• Monitor KPIs and drive data-informed decisions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet site objectives.
• Identify root causes and implement sustainable efficiency improvements.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support talent lifecycle including interviewing, onboarding, and coaching.
• Communicate priorities and performance clearly to stakeholders.
