Job summary

NeuroBionics in Somerville, MA is hiring a Business Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone, owning HR, payroll, benefits, onboarding, procurement, and vendor relationships. As the first dedicated operations hire, you\'ll build systems and processes, coordinate facilities and safety, and support founders by handling day-to-day operational complexity.

This on-site role offers relocation assistance and growth as the team scales.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of operations experience in a startup or small-company environment.
• Hands-on with payroll and HR administration, and/or finance operations.
• Proven track record building processes and systems.
• Highly organized and independent; able to own decisions.

Responsibilities

• Run payroll, onboarding, and benefits administration.
• Own procurement, accounts payable, vendor management and contracts.
• Coordinate lab facilities, safety, and space planning.
• Coordinate external partners (bookkeeper, CFO, HR advisor, IT).
• Develop and refine operating systems, meetings, and workflows.
• Operate independently within scope to reduce founders' workload.
