Job summary

NeuroBionics in Cambridge/Somerville, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to run the day‑to‑day engine that turns build plans into shipped hardware.

This is a hands‑on, working role: you will own manufacturing execution, personally run in‑process and final inspection, drive process optimization, manage 1–2 manufacturing operators, own inventory, and hold purchasing authority over your critical build vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations/manufacturing in medtech (startup preferred) or a closely regulated hardware environment.
• Track record of moving fast under constraint—hitting aggressive timelines and driving cross-functional work to closure.
• Hands-on experience owning in-process and final inspection end-to-end and process optimization in hardware/manufacturing setting.
• Experience taking at least one product from development into production or an equivalent ramp.
• Strong working knowledge of inventory control and vendor/purchasing management for manufacturing inputs.

Responsibilities

• Run manufacturing execution and labor planning with weekly build plans and daily cadence.
• Lead and develop a team of 1–2 manufacturing operators: staffing, onboarding, training, schedules, performance expectations.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality to ensure builds follow revisions, specs, and release criteria.
• Own in-process and final inspection end-to-end within the quality system and drive improvement on yield and cycle times.
• Stand up practical inventory systems, min/max, cycle counts, and shortage visibility.
• Hold purchasing authority for critical build vendors and coordinate with Engineering on BOM changes.
• Drive disciplined vendor management: SOW milestones, timelines, and cost control.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and fulfillment: labeling, kitting, packing, and shipment tracking.
