Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal’s PEPI team seeks an Associate in Operations & Manufacturing to lead complex client engagements, identifying and implementing improvements across portfolio companies. You will design transformation plans, oversee implementation, and manage day‑to‑day client relationships to deliver value.

Qualified candidates bring 2–5+ years in manufacturing or distribution, plus expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced planning. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with open U.S.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Expertise in cost improvements, operations transformation, or plant optimization.
• Strong analytical and data‑driven problem solving.
• Experience leading cross‑functional engagements and change management.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of target manufacturing and distribution operations, including org design and capacity.
• Evaluate operability of production facilities and equipment conditions.
• Review data to assess efficiency, capacity, and production performance.
• Provide shop‑floor insights by engaging with employees and customers.
