Job summary

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, seeks an Operations Manager for our Lexington, KY location. You will lead warehouse and administrative functions and drive efficiency, accuracy in inventory, and key financial metrics.

This role also focuses on identifying process improvements to enhance overall branch performance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in business, sales or operations management, a bachelor's degree, strong communication, leadership, and the ability to coordinate multiple

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in business, sales or operations management including planning, resource allocation, sales forecasting, and coordination of people and resources.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales and Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and job experience.
• Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in general computer applications and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate warehouse and administrative functions to ensure efficient operations and quality customer service.
• Participate in recruitment and selection processes.
• Develop staff through training and performance management.
• Manage movement and audit of inventory.
• Coordinate inventory prep, cycle counts, vendor returns, displays, and promotions.
• Oversee debit memo process with accounting for past dues, pricing contracts, and job cost management.
• Ensure prompt responses to calls, emails, and communications.
• Maintain customer relationships and timely follow-up and problem resolution.
• Assist with branch safety and building management, reporting accidents to HR.
• Support other branches in securing customer orders with Sales team and Managers.
