Job summary

Housing Works seeks a Special Populations Hotel Operations Manager in New York to oversee hotel operations, IT, office services, purchasing, and meal distribution, ensuring efficiency and safety. You will supervise five Residential Aide Supervisors and coordinate with clinical and hotel staff to support residents, vendors, and program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in social services addressing HIV/AIDS, homelessness, mental health, or substance use.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with homeless migrant population.

Responsibilities

• Monitor program operations to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with the Senior Program Coordinator, Director of Social Services, Hotel Programs, IT, and other managers.
• Supervise five Residential Aide Supervisors.
• Create staff schedules to ensure 24-hour coverage.
• Purchase and manage inventories of food and supplies.
• Schedule monthly staff meetings and communicate policy changes.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality of residents and guests.
• Liaise with hotel ownership and coordinate with clinical staff on resident care.
• Enforce Residential Code of Conduct and House Rules.
• Participate in advocacy and actions addressing homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
