Job summary

RXO is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee staffing, policy adherence, and continuous improvement across the team. You will mentor supervisors, coordinate between departments, and drive quality and efficiency in daily operations while managing budgets and processes.

Must have 5 years of supervisory experience in logistics or transportation and a Bachelor’s in a related field. Occasional travel and proficiency with new software are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of supervisory experience in logistics and/or transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Availability to travel occasionally.
• Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized information and data.

Responsibilities

• Assess staffing requirements to maintain high quality service while minimizing overtime and excess labor expense.
• Oversee supervisory functions; mentor supervisors and coordinators; use metrics and system tools.
• Act as liaison between Account Managers and operational staff; investigate issues to determine root cause and correction procedure.
• Coordinate changes; comply with quality policies; attend quality meetings; communicate initiatives to staff.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and work with teams to create specifications and implementations.
• Analyze data and apply professional judgment to resolve issues.
• Maintain departmental budget and participate in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and policy development.
• Work with HR and management on disciplinary issues and hiring/termination processes.
