Job summary

Google is seeking a senior Trust & Safety professional in the United States to lead complex abuse detection initiatives and collaborate with product and engineering teams across Google products. The role emphasizes policy build-out, scalable operations, and cross-functional leadership to protect users and partners.

Ideal candidates will have strong data analytics, policy expertise, and experience with machine learning concepts. A Master’s/PhD and fluency in SQL/Python are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Master's or PhD in relevant field is preferred.
  • Education in or experience with machine learning is desirable.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  • Experience in building scaled operations and process documentation in Trust and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and improve abuse detection systems and mitigate user harm.
  • Drive alignment and strengthen partnership with executive stakeholders across Trust & Safety and cross-functional teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development and Legal.
  • Demonstrate core process knowledge to improve workflows and operational workstreams.
  • Build deep policy knowledge and product expertise to implement, execute and improve enforcement operations.
  • Articulate complex policy concepts and deliver persuasive communications for executive audiences.

Job description

In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based employees. Benefits for this role include:

  • Paid Time Off: 20 days of vacation per year, accruing at a rate of 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years of employment

  • Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks

Minimum qualifications:

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
