Job summary

Aptive Environmental seeks an Operations Manager for the Indianapolis area. This full-time leadership role focuses on optimizing service center operations, staffing, payroll, and budget controls to boost profitability and service quality.

The successful candidate will drive employee and customer retention, manage vendors and fleets, and collaborate with regional leadership. A applicable degree plus management experience are preferred, with a strong emphasis on P&L understanding and hiring

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in management and/or a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field.
• High school diploma or related education preferred.
• General understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L).
• A US driver's license valid for a minimum of 3 years is required
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years)
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires
• Candidates must obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for customer retention, employee retention, and service center EBITDA
• Balance labor utilization with production to optimize efficiencies
• Oversee inventory and fleet within the service center
• Direct hiring activities to ensure proper staffing for the service center
• Manage payroll for Service Professionals and Supervisors
• Set a clear vision and expectations for the work group
• Achieve high operational efficiency and effective labor management
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Manager and CI to ensure growth and safety of service delivery
• Execute improvement plans and report progress
• Foster a cohesive, service-oriented team and meet KPI standards
• Work with talent team for hiring needs
• Create a learning and growth atmosphere for Service Professionals
• Set and manage goals with Supervisors and Service Pros to improve performance using dashboards
• Review Service Professional performance metrics with the Operations Regional Manager
• Provide training in communication and sales to the workforce
• Collaborate with Operations Trainers to implement and deliver training
• Deliver excellent customer service to current and potential customers
