TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in Plano, TX is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced moving operation, develop people, manage staffing, scheduling, dispatch, and safety, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role emphasizes coaching teams, improving productivity, and maintaining fleet readiness in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in moving/logistics, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Experience leading moving/transport/logistics teams is helpful but not required.
• Proven ability to supervise and develop employees and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team, coaching and directing movers, drivers, and operations staff.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, dispatch, and scheduling to ensure smooth execution.
• Promote safety and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance; manage fleet readiness and equipment.
• Monitor KPIs and drive efficiency, service quality, and profitability; collaborate with leadership and frontline staff.

We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on Operations Manager to help lead our team in Plano, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, keeping a fast-paced operation running smoothly, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As an Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day execution of our moving operation, including crew leadership, staffing, scheduling and dispatch, safety, fleet readiness, customer service, and operational performance.

What You'll Do

Lead & Develop the Team

• Build a positive, accountable, team-oriented workplace culture
• Coach, train, motivate, and develop team members
• Provide daily leadership and direction to movers, drivers, and operational team members
• Help determine staffing needs based on projected business volume
• Coordinate employee scheduling and daily dispatch
• Hold employees accountable to company expectations, safety requirements, and performance standards
• Assist with employee performance management and corrective action when necessary

Manage Daily Operations

• Oversee the daily execution of moving services to ensure crews are prepared, dispatched efficiently, and positioned for success
• Monitor schedules, staffing levels, job progress, and operational challenges throughout the day
• Respond quickly to schedule changes, call-offs, customer concerns, equipment issues, and other operational needs
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, service quality, and profitability
• Work closely with leadership, sales, customer service, and frontline employees to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Work with crews to identify opportunities to continuously improve the customer experience

Safety, Fleet & Compliance

• Promote a strong culture of safety throughout the operation
• Ensure compliance with applicable DOT regulations and FMCSA requirements
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and help ensure trucks and equipment are safe, clean, and ready for daily operations
• Monitor equipment and operational inventory
• Support incident reporting and other safety-related processes
• Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and established operating standards

Operational Performance

• Monitor operational KPIs and performance data
• Help manage labor efficiency, productivity, service quality, and operational costs
• Review performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement
• Partner with leadership to establish and achieve operational goals
• Protect and positively represent the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® brand in the Dallas community

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required
• Moving industry experience is helpful but not required
• Previous operations, logistics, transportation, service industry, warehouse, field service, or similar leadership experience
• Previous experience directly supervising and developing employees
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to outstanding customer service
• Ability to analyze performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning business management software
