Job summary

Newrest is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee production, quality, personnel and safety in a facility. Under the Unit Manager, you will ensure catering needs are met, drive productivity, and maintain policy adherence. The role may rotate through departments and requires weekend availability.

You will mentor managers, address performance, and communicate effectively with the team to sustain a strong safety culture and operational excellence.

Under the direction of the Unit Manager,theOperations Manageris assigned projects within in the facility.The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the production, quality,personnel, and safety.

May rotate through different departments asneeded, flexibility in schedule and weekend availability is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Leadership

• Hold managers accountable formeeting expectations and KPI’s
• Mentor and coach managers as neededto ensure performance and adherence to policy and culture
• Train, coach and mentor managers andother direct reports in an effort to provide a strong talent bench forsuccession planning purposes and career advancement within the unit
• Ensure that all policies andprocedures are followed per Newrest and customer requirements
• Communicate effectively with allteam members

Operations/Logistics

• Fully responsible for the operation,including production, logistics, supply, safety, quality, personnel andcustomer service.
• Ensure that all quality and safetyprocedures and program are adhered to by everyone.
• Ensure that all catering needs aremet in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve productivity and product quality.

• Evaluate talent of team members anddrive actions to address performance issues and/or behavioral concerns.
• Enhance employee morale by drivingengagement and establishing an environment of trust and respect.
• Handle employee and managementconcerns and elevate concerns to the HR department.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements related to productand service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health andsafety regulations.

• Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-relatedinjuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing health and safetyrisks.
• Compliance with HazardAnalysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices(GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions asmandated by unit management.
