OPERATIONS MANAGER

The Omaha Health & Welfare practice was started 24 years ago to serve large employers in designing and administering employee benefit insurance plans. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Operations Manager will play a key role in our practice's success, including profit center and staff responsibilities. This position involves interaction with staff and clients, managing multiple projects, and handling varied communication styles. Minimal travel is expected. Key duties include:

Profit Center Responsibilities
  1. Support Omaha Health & Welfare strategic initiatives, including product enhancements and office space planning.
  2. Develop and communicate guidelines supporting the practice, including quality and security processes like post-release reviews, audits, HiTrust, SOC2.
  3. Optimize revenue and time charges per client.
  4. Conduct periodic meetings with team leaders and liaise with departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Account Management.
  5. Facilitate communication and coordinate activities among teams.
  6. Assist in framing client conversations and work with Principals on year-end compensation planning.
Staff Responsibilities
  1. Ensure team members develop strong client relationships through onsite visits, calls, and emails.
  2. Allocate workloads effectively and support professional development, including mentorship and leadership programs.
  3. Manage performance reviews and address performance issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience in health insurance is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Three years' experience as an Operations Manager is preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong finance and accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with MS Access and SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with a customer-focused attitude.
LOCATION

This role is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and requires full-time onsite work.
