Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Management Trainee in Florence, SC to support the shop management process and drive cost savings, customer retention, and metric-based initiatives.

You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality and Rental to maximize utilization and satisfy customers. The role requires strong communication, multitasking and mechanical skills, plus a Bachelor's degree and 1+ year in customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year in customer service with issue resolution.
• Strong PC skills with spreadsheets and word processing.
• Basic understanding of business finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support shop management and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality and Rental.
• Ensure PM scheduling and vehicle status updates plus maintenance planning.
• Maintain customer relationships and assist in new-business calls.
• Relocation within the business unit after training.
